Adding Drones into your Security System
The use of drone technology is the future to have the best CCTV system to protect your property. It is envisioned that the drones will proactively patrolling your surroundings and property, looking for intruders or other anomalies on-site. The use of drones has clear advantages in detecting intruders, especially in hidden areas from camera view.
Here’s an overview of how we are already using drones, exciting future applications of this technology in the security field, and some current obstacles to the full deployment of
drones.
How we are Presently Using Drones
Site Surveying
Before sending a quote to our potential client, Guard N Watch often uses drones to survey the landscape of their site., This allows you to quickly provide a detailed, high-resolution aerial inspection. This can be very important when identifying vulnerable areas. This will help you better understand your security needs and create interactive sitemaps.
Drone View
Our Intervention Specialists can view the drone view because it is integrated into our software. This allows intervention specialists to quickly understand the landscape of where the camera is located and the potential hiding places for intruders. It also allows us to provide more accurate information to police and first responders. For example, we can warn the police that an intruder is hiding behind him, the best place to enter the premises, and possible escape routes for the intruder
Advancement of Drone Technology
Autonomous threat response by drones
Eliminating any risk to first responders has always been the foundation of the Guard n Watch.
With the drone, when a security alarm is triggered, the system automatically sends the drone to the location of the alarm and assumes that live video is sent to the communication hub. In addition to the cameras already in the field, this provides a second view available to intervention specialists. Sending a drone for investigation and visual inspection is a much safer and easier option for potentially dangerous situations.
Scheduled autonomous drone patrols
Automated scheduled drone patrols may replace security guards patrol the predefined routes. This means that the operator will fly the drone onto the site to find the intruders and site anomalies (such as suspicious luggage or vehicles). Given that the average commercial drone can fly at 3060 km / h, this significantly increases the amount of ground it can cover compared to manned guard patrols. Patterns and patrol times can be preset. For example, if you want to patrol the security area every hour and every two hours, this is easy to program.
Multipurpose drones and IOTs
With the infrastructure in place to remotely operate the drone, we expect drone technology to be further integrated into the building security and facility management system. Just as we have integrated heat, smoke and fire detection into our CCTV products over the last five years, we expect this IoT-inclusive approach to be implemented in drones. This means that the security drone originally acquired for the intrusion detection role may assume other roles as well. In the event of a fire, they can monitor the progress of the fire and provide information to emergency services. Alternatively, you can act as a safety evaluator. Drones can inspect pipelines or oil tanks once a week and send those footage directly to safety inspectors for approval.
